Hi, I’m Chesney! I’m a very lovely, intelligent youngster looking for an active home to continue my training and have lots of adventures. I am very affectionate and fancy myself as a bit of a lap dog.

Energy Requirements:  This youngster is full of energy. He is used to 3 lead walks a day but really needs a bit more exercise now that he is a year old, and activities to use his brain.

Training:  Chesney pulls on the lead, and has never been walked off-lead so will need a commitment to training to address his pulling and develop recall.

Visiting the vet:  Chesney has had his health check and is fit and well. He is a good weight for his age. He has also been to the groomers and is looking even more beautiful. Ongoing grooming upkeep will be required.  Chesney will be adopted with a contract to be neutered once he is settled in his new home.

Travelling: he travels well in the car, in a crate in the boot.

Food:  likes Iams with some wet Caesar food, and chews for a treat.

Sleep: he sleeps very well in his crate.

Behavioural issues:  none, apart from being a big untrained pup! He is a very clever boy with some basic obedience including sit and giving a paw, further work required on jumping.

Home needs:  Chesney is a sibling of Ollie, they can be rehomed separately as long as there is another dog for company. If interested, they could be rehomed together but are currently in separate foster homes. They are bouncy youngsters in need of a home/s where there is a commitment to training, and good local dog walking opportunities. Chesney is currently in foster with a dog-savvy cat but is very respectful of her boundaries and hasn’t chased her at all.

Ongoing support: Springer Rescue for Scotland will be available for any support with your new dog and can offer behavioural support in case of any problems that may arise on adopting a dog. Chesney will be adopted with a contract to be neutered once he is settled in his new home.
