Finding a Safe Haven for Your Beloved Companion
At Springer Rescue for Scotland, we want you to know that anyone, in any situation, can turn to us for assistance with rehoming a Spaniel. We understand that the decision to give up a dog can be incredibly tough. Rest assured, we’re here to support you every step of the way.
We solely operate in Scotland.
Here's how the process works
Once you reach out to us, we'll arrange for one of our dedicated volunteers to visit your home and assess the dog in its familiar environment. This assessment helps us learn as much as possible about the dog's unique qualities and needs. Following this initial evaluation, your dog will be placed on our waiting list until a suitable foster home becomes available.
In foster care, your dog will receive further assessment and care, ensuring they are matched with the most suitable new home and loving family. If the situation is urgent, we'll take immediate action, either by arranging emergency fostering or, if necessary, placing them in one of our assessed 'home from home' boarding kennels temporarily until a foster placement becomes available.
We understand that discussing rehoming your dog may be challenging, and we want to make this process as comfortable as possible for you. If you find it difficult to initiate contact, we welcome a friend or relative to reach out on your behalf, provided they have your permission to do so. Additionally, you can contact your nearest Area Coordinator for support.
If you wish to discuss rehoming your dog or have any questions, please don’t hesitate to get in touch with us by calling either: Fiona on 07739 552213 or; Janette on 01475 689328.
We ask that you only leave a message on one of the numbers and do not call multiple times, we will respond to your message as soon as possible. Alternatively you can contact us via email at dogs@springerrescuescotland.org.
Like most rescues, we are at capacity in our foster homes at the moment and now have a waiting list for dogs to come in.
