Bella’s Journey to a Brighter Future: A Fundraising Update

Dear supporters and friends of Springer Rescue Scotland,

We hope this update finds you in good health and high spirits. Today, we want to share a heartwarming update on a little fighter named Bella, she has captured the hearts of many with her resilience and spirit and needed surgery at just 4 months old.

Bella’s Story

Bella’s journey began with uncertainty, as she had already experienced several homes in her short life. Springer Rescue Scotland was called upon to find Bella her forever home, and little did we know the challenges she would face.

Upon meeting Bella, it became evident that something was amiss with her eye. Our dedicated foster family wasted no time and took her straight to the vet. The diagnosis was distressing – an abscess in her back tooth was placing undue pressure on her optic nerve. Bella was immediately put on a regimen of strong antibiotics to clear the abscess and alleviate the pressure. While the pressure eased somewhat, her eye remained significantly swollen, necessitating the extraction of the problematic tooth – the next crucial step in Bella’s journey to recovery.

A Community United

In true Springer Rescue Scotland fashion, we are committed to supporting Bella throughout her life through our supported adoption process. However, the road to recovery has been challenging, both emotionally and financially. The final bill for Bella’s treatment was uncertain, prompting us to turn to our incredible community of supporters, who have consistently shown their unwavering dedication to our cause.

We understand that times are tough, and donations are not taken lightly. Nevertheless, we have witnessed the power of collective goodwill, and Bella’s journey is a testament to the difference we can make when we stand together.

Updates on Bella

We are delighted to share some positive news. Bella’s condition has improved significantly since our last update on our Facebook page. Thanks to your generous donations, Bella received the vital veterinary treatment required for her eye. She is now in good spirits, relishing her time in foster care, and even causing a bit of mischief – just as any healthy puppy should!

Bella herself wanted to say a big ‘hello’ to all her supporters: “Hello all, SRS Bella here. I’ve been enjoying life more these past few weeks and becoming more like a working cocker. Last week I was taken to the beach, enjoyed paddling, jumping small waves, and doing zoomies on the sand. Thanks for all your pennies to help me get well.”

Thank you for your help

We are immensely grateful for the incredible support we have received. Together, we have raised £2,896.45, along with £647.37 in Gift Aid. Every penny counts, and every act of generosity brings us closer to securing Bella’s future and ensuring that she can enjoy a life filled with love, joy, and good health.

Thank you for being a part of Bella’s journey and for your enduring support of Springer Rescue Scotland.

With heartfelt gratitude,

Springer Rescue Scotland
