Grouse

Hello!  I’m Grouse.  I am a lovely, well-natured 9-year-old Springer Spaniel. I have come into rescue through no fault of my own and am ready to find my forever home.

My favourite toys are tennis balls and gundog training dummies.  I’ve recently had a hair cut and I as you can see I didn’t stay clean for long, it’s not my fault I love being out in all weathers, isn’t that the springer way?

I sleep in my own kennel at the moment, and have lived in a kennel since I was a puppy – I have been training to become a house dog though!

I am fed twice a day on dry kibble, and I can be left for short periods with no issues.

I like to have outside access, so a large secure garden would be ideal for me.

I walk well on the lead and off the lead, and my recall is good.

I have had some gundog training, and I used to go out beating with my previous owner.

I would prefer a home who understands that I am an older dog and where I can enjoy my retirement but also have lots of good walks and fun.  I could live with other dogs but would also be happy on my own, children would be fine, and I would really like someone around most of the time although I can be left.

I am a fit, healthy dog and will go to my new home with a contract to be neutered.
